Get in tune with your CHAKRAS!
Green Smoothies were all the rage last year but for 2014, there’s a new Superhero in town called the BOWL! Yup, the bowl is prettier and can be decorated easier than a boring glass. So, here’s a twist on the smoothie: The Green Acai Berry Bowl. And trust me, it’s much easier to get your kids to eat this when it’s in a bowl and decorated with pure goodness.
It’s so quick and easy to make so grab yourself these ingredients:
1 banana (frozen is good if you want it nice and cold!)
1/2 cup coconut water
3 dates (pitted)
large handful of spinach
1 teaspoon of acai powder (or more if you fancy!)
For the topping:
Well, you can add just about anything you like. For this post, I added blueberries, coconut flakes and bee pollen! Yum!
The acai berry is one of the healthiest berries you…

Salads aren’t dishes that are often associated with the winter weather, however, this one is not only incredibly filling but also full of the kind of goodness that helps to keep you healthy and smiling through the cold season. Sprouting broccoli is an ingredient that I have used once before on my blog but you may not be all that familiar with it. Growing during the winter and sprouting during the spring, this colourful vegetable is a great way to add nutrition and character to any meal. However, it is chickpeas that are the true nourishment bringer of this dish.
A cup of chickpeas only contains 4 grams of fat and absolutely none of it is the bad kind! Add to that, that they provide a decent dose of fibre and can help to lower bad cholesterol levels whilst improving digestive health. When you eat chickpeas your red blood cells…

Any type of surgery can take a serious toll on the body and getting back to 100% health should always be the first priority. Similarly, if you are recovering from an illness, then focusing all of your energy on recovery can help to avoid potential complications and further illness. In both of these instances, your diet plays a huge role in how your body heals and opting for proper nutrition is one of the best things you can do.

Delicious stew and great gift idea!
Try substituting vegan protein alternatives, fresh mushroom varieties, and/or a seafood mix with fresh herbs instead of beef!
Recently, I’ve been thinking about living a simpler life. The idea started when I visited Mickey Trescott’s new home in the Willamette Valley over the summer, but it really solidified when we moved all of our things from Maryland to Florida last month – over 14,000 lbs worth of belongings. As we started unpacking boxes, I couldn’t help but think that I just didn’t need so much stuff. The worst part about it? We’re still unpacking.
So for the holidays this year, we’re trying to not buy any objects for each other. Instead, we’re gifting experiences. So this week’s recipe is going to be a little different from your usual Tuesday post; I’m going to walk you through how to make gifts to hand out to people that aren’t stuff. A couple years back I made a few gallons of my barbecue sauce and gave it away as…

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” (NIV)
(Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come to me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven. KJV)

I cannot allow one more day to pass without noting the terrible barbarism taking place in Nigeria.
With the abduction of the nearly 300 girls, taken from school–the place they had gone, thinking they would be safe in order to take their end of term final exams—my heart cries out within me.
I cry out as a mother who’s…

GOOD HEALING news!
LOOK TO JESUS – HE IS ALWAYS THE ANSWER !!!
I want to share something powerful with you today.
Understanding this can change your life.
When dealing with challenges, uncertainties and questions, let me encourage you to…
Look to Jesus—make Him the center of your life. He is always the answer.
In the book of Colossians, the Apostle Paul writes something really powerful…
Jesus Himself “existed before all things, and in Him all things consist (cohere, are held together)” (Colossians 1:17, AMP).
That means that when Jesus is at the center of your life, things no longer seem to be falling apart. He holds everything together. This includes your marriage, dreams, family, career, finances, peace and health.
Every part of your life—it is all held together by Jesus!
And when you make Jesus the center of your life, He provides exactly what you need…exactly when you need it.
